First Morning of Vacation!!

 

I arrived in OBX (Outer Banks, NC) yesterday afternoon for our annual family vacation.

A tradition that my father and I have is to get up and go to the beach to watch the sunrise.  Back in New Jersey I can never get up this early to go to the shore to see this amazing wonder.

 

 

This is Ebony one of my father’s dogs.  She is now blind but still loves to go the beach and walk in the water.

WP Photo Challenge: Today was a Good Day (2)

Well vacation is over and I am back home.  Why do we always feel that we need a vacation from the vacation?

This was a very relaxing week away from the hustle of my normal routine.

Friday was our last full day in Outer Banks so I went to Jennette’s Pier so I could get some pics and my niece could get in a last day of swimming.

I managed to get up early again and catch the beginning of another beautiful day.   The sun decided to hide behind the clouds today so no pictures of the sun kissing the ocean but I did get some pictures of the breath-taking colors in the sky.

Since the sun was not cooperating like i wanted it too, I was able to make a short clip of the sand Crabs throwing sand out of their holes

Please forgive the shaking I forgot to bring my tripod.

In Plain Sight

Have you ever gone to the beach early in the morning and see all the holes in the sand?

All those holes are from crabs.  They are very fast and hard to photograph.   Their shells blend in with the sand.
