BIG & Point of View
Photo 101 Assignment 7: BIG & Point of View
Here are just a few of the reptiles that we saw at WOW (World of Wings) last Saturday. This is a GREAT place to take children of all ages. It was not too big but definitely big enough to have an enjoyable time.
As aways comments are welcome.
Thanks for visiting my little piece of the world!
Connect & Tags
Photo 101 assignment #6: Connect & Tags
The first image is one that I posted before but I did a little more editing to it as I thought that it was too dark. Let me know if you think this is better than the original.
The original image was a in-camera conversion. I am learning that I prefer to do the conversion myself as I have more control.
My second image for “connect” I used an escalator. It is not a literal connection but it is a way to connect to our destination. In my case to a train then home.
The second part of the assignment is “tags”. I already tag and most times I am sure I over tag so for this post I have used less and will try to heed the warning about using too many tags.

Solitude & Rule of Thirds
I am a bit behind on my Photo 101 assignments but hope to get caught up really soon.
Here is assignment 5 “Solitude & Rule of Thirds”. I went to the 2015 Philadelphia Flower Show this weekend and it was GREAT. The Convention Center was packed with visitors from all over. It was hard to set up most of the shots.
I hope you like what you see as there will be plenty more flowers to come.

A Blissful Moment
Photo 101 Assignment #4: Bliss
We finally got some “real” snow here in NJ. Most of the business and schools were closed today except for my daughters job. Since I was off and Arai did not have school I had the pleasure of having him for the day. This young man is a handful and a half. The only time he is still is when he is sleep and you have to fight him for that.
I decided to take him out and let him experience some snow. Mom-mom could not find his gloves so I put a pair of socks on his hands to keep them a little dry. How happy he was.

Thru the Rain
Today was a perfect day for the 3rd WP Photo Assignment Water. Here in New Jersey we are getting rained out before the “BIG snow storm” hits night.
A view of rain drops thru my windshield. I did a similar post (Thirsty Tuesday) this past summer when this pond was lush and green.
This next flower is one that I posted last summer. I love how the droplet is reflecting the grass and trees.

A bit of street
For my second WP Photo 101 assignment that shows “Street & Establishing a Shot” I chose a picture from a day trip to Philadelphia back in December.
I believed if the car was not there this picture would have been better. So I cropped it out and used “rule of thirds” for the post.
Do you think the car adds to the scene or is it an unnecessary distraction?

What does home mean to me?
I did not do to well with the WP Blogging 101 course but with this new course, WP Photo 101 I think I will do really well. My only issue is the daily posting. I hope I can deliver.
For our first assignment we need to show what home is or means to us. This was a bit difficult at first but after some thought the place that I feel most at home (besides mom’s house) is Arizona.
There is sun, sun and more sun with lots of heat. I am longing for some heat right about now. The desert was very calming and relaxing to me. It gave me a sense of peace which was so desperately needed.
I can’t wait for the time that I can move back or at least go for a long visit.
Prior to moving to Arizona I mainly wanted to go just because of the weather. After I went there for a vacation and to visit family I fell in love with the desert. Who would have ever thought that the desert could be beautiful?!
