Hidden No More
When in Outer Banks NC, I always go to the Coastal NC Refuges Gateway Center to show my grandson or niece what animals are native to the area. So I have done this atleast 7 times in the last 8 years.
On our way back I noticed a new attraction, or should i say new to me, it was Island Farm. I was advised that Island Farm has been there for over 10 years. I don’t know how the sign was missed since it is on the main road.
The Farm is very interactive for both kids and adults and all the staff we spoke with were very knowledgable.
Due to it being a rainy day were not able to stay too long.
Before we left Arai was able to pet a cow, feel freshly sheared wool, play a game that kids once played, and pick eggs from the chicken coop.
Arai did enjoy his visit.

A Photo of the Week Challenge:
This view is one of my favorites. It was taken August 14, 2014 while on vacation in Outer Bank, NC.
My father and I would get up about 5:30am every morning (this is the only time I get up that early) to watch the sunrise.
On that lucky day I was able to catch this shot.

Wave Conqueror
My family vacation started Saturday and this year I decided to be adventurous and bring my grandson, Arai. Having a 4-year-old in a 7 hour car ride is enough to drive most people insane. Somehow we both managed to survive and made it safely to OBX, Outer Banks North Carolina.
Arai had the pleasure of waking up at 5:30 am yesterday morning to go see the sunrise with me and Pop-pop. He was amazed. Although this was not the best view of a sunrise since 75% of the sun was covered by clouds, which Arai thought was a mountain.
I let him get his feet wet in the ocean but he had other plans. When he was finished he was totally soaked from the waist down. In this picture I am not sure what he was thinking but if I had to guess it would be that he conquered the waves.

Only the Tail
While on vacation two weeks ago I was able to see a “pod” of dolphins going in and out of the water. Although this image is a bit grainy you can see the tail of the dolphin.
It was beautiful to see these creatures against the colorful sunrise.

OBX ARRIVAL
We arrived safe and sound to OBX (Outer Banks, NC) after 357 miles which took 6.5 hours.
The home we rented is not ready yet since we got here 3 hours to soon so some of them broke out the dominoes.
Game on!
I hope you are ready to share in my vacation.

WP Photo Challenge: Minimalist
I took this photo while on vacation in Outer Banks, NC (OBX), back in August of this year.
On one of my drives to nowhere, I came across this little beach by one of the bridges that connect the island.
While exploding the area I came across these flip flops. Some young lady (assuming) left then on the beach.
I belive that they are a good representation of this week’s theme, Minimalist
As always thanks for visiting and all comments welcome!
