When Settings Are Wrong

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet. by Roger Miller

Today is a cold rainy here in New Jersey not really good for outdoor photos but I did not want my new found momentum to fade away.

So I put on the heavy coat and ventured outside. To see what the rain has to offer besides wetness.

I forgot to change the settings on the camera. I still think it came out okay. What do you think?

Last Blooms-3

Looking out today it looks beautiful.   Then that gush of wind comes and makes you realize that those 2 days of 70°+ temperatures where just to sike us out and make us not think about winter fast approaching.

Here are the remaining pictures of my last blooms of the 2018 season.

I am already looking forward to thr spring 2019 season.

Last Blooms-2

Here are a couple more photos of the flowers and plant still blooming or full of life.

The first 2 images is a Split Leaf Philodendron. This one does not have any blooms but it caught my eye because it was full of Caterpillars. When I purchased this plant the leaves were beautiful but now the leaves are food.

This Rose Bush looks terrible but the bud is beautiful and I know that the actual bloom will be amazing.

Last Blooms-1

It is beginning to get a bit chilly here in New Jersey and I still have a few (18) plants that need to be planted.

Sunday morning, my only full day off, I decided that this is the day. I began planting and was only able to plant 5 of them in this chilly weather.

Instead i decided to take pictures of the remaining blooms.

This one is my favorite…a fallen Dahlia on the 2nd deck I made. (This is a 10×10 deck bigger than the first.)

More pictures to come soon..

PS…I broke down and paid someone to finish planting the remaining flowers.

Natures Teacups?

After seeing my grandson off to school (kindergarten now!) I took a little stroll around my yard. When I look at my last remaining flowers I notice a bunch of brown things all over the place.  I think they are mushrooms.  When you look in the 2nd photo it looks like little eggs and some of them hatched.

My First…..and it felt good

I work in a home improvement store and I talk to people who are working on some project almost daily.  I decided that i too wanted to make something. A deck.  Is what I decided to tackle.

After about a month I took the plunge and purchased the materials including a new saw.  Although I did not need a saw since they cut the wood for me. I kept it anyway since I decided to create other things.

It is not as big ad I thought but it is a perfect first try at making something from wood.

Will be buying plants to put around my new deck.
