Sunrise of the Day 8/11/19
The secret to a good morning is to watch the sunrise with an open heart.

VACATION has finally started!
One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to go to the beach and watch the sunrise each day.
Unfortunately there were no clouds in the sky for any dramatic pictures. But it was still a great sunrise.

A Photo of the Week Challenge:
This view is one of my favorites. It was taken August 14, 2014 while on vacation in Outer Bank, NC.
My father and I would get up about 5:30am every morning (this is the only time I get up that early) to watch the sunrise.
On that lucky day I was able to catch this shot.

Wave Conqueror
My family vacation started Saturday and this year I decided to be adventurous and bring my grandson, Arai. Having a 4-year-old in a 7 hour car ride is enough to drive most people insane. Somehow we both managed to survive and made it safely to OBX, Outer Banks North Carolina.
Arai had the pleasure of waking up at 5:30 am yesterday morning to go see the sunrise with me and Pop-pop. He was amazed. Although this was not the best view of a sunrise since 75% of the sun was covered by clouds, which Arai thought was a mountain.
I let him get his feet wet in the ocean but he had other plans. When he was finished he was totally soaked from the waist down. In this picture I am not sure what he was thinking but if I had to guess it would be that he conquered the waves.

Nostalgia – Remembering the Past
Remembering last vacation to North Carolina sitting on the beach with my father watching another beautiful sunrise.

A Flat Planet
Although the sun is “emerging” from the other side, it does appear that it is on the edge of the ocean.
This was taken while I was on vacation in Nags Head, North Carolina.

A Bit of Wilderness – Work Oasis
Today I decided to make a really short video so that you can see where I go to relax on my lunch breaks most days.
This lake could be anywhere in the middle of the wilderness but it is located at the end of a parking lot that holds hundreds of cars daily.
I am surprised that I do not see more people here releasing some of the work stress that we deal with on a daily basis.

Only the Tail
While on vacation two weeks ago I was able to see a “pod” of dolphins going in and out of the water. Although this image is a bit grainy you can see the tail of the dolphin.
It was beautiful to see these creatures against the colorful sunrise.
