Connect & Tags
Photo 101 assignment #6: Connect & Tags
The first image is one that I posted before but I did a little more editing to it as I thought that it was too dark. Let me know if you think this is better than the original.
The original image was a in-camera conversion. I am learning that I prefer to do the conversion myself as I have more control.
My second image for “connect” I used an escalator. It is not a literal connection but it is a way to connect to our destination. In my case to a train then home.
The second part of the assignment is “tags”. I already tag and most times I am sure I over tag so for this post I have used less and will try to heed the warning about using too many tags.
Thanks for visiting!

The escalator grabbed my attention. The original gleams with warmth, while the black and white transports one to a futuristic location.

Thank you! You are helping to boost my confidence with black and white. I like that “futuristic” location.

I agree, futuristic not post apocalyptic, no zombies in sight. (By the way, whatever happened to Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone?)

Thank you. If I even thought zombies this picture would not have been taken. I had to look up who Rod and Collin where. Thanks for the lesson.

Just trying to keep the young entertained, lol. The black and white reminded me of my youth, hence the zombie reference, Rod and Colin were sparked by that thought. If you enjoy music you could do with a listen to the Zombies, Colin’s voice is amazing!

Tag this, read it and weep that you didn’t come to it first. If you like it check out the original!

Like the delicate seed caught in the hard, rough, bulky chain. Think the escalator image works in color as well as B&W. Warm feel in the color. Much stronger graphic in the B&W with a rich, silvery look and a better crop (me – I might have included a bit more of the right side in the crop to center the escalator and emphasize the symmetry). This would have been a great image for your leading lines. Nice images.

Thank you! After I started to edit the image I realized that it was not centered. I also have a bad habit of not seeing everything that is in my shot. Never noticed that big trash can when I was taking the picture.
