Do I change or stay the same
Todays assignment for Blogging 101 is to revise the tagline. Personally I like my tagline “A peek into my Soul”. I feel that it goes with my title and what I am about since I believe that each photo represents a piece of my soul that was saved since I found photography.
Take a look at the “Who I am” post from yesterday to see the direction that I ultimately want to take my blog to and let me know what suggestions you may have for changing the tagline or if you think it is GREAT as it is let me know that too.
All post must have a picture or two so here are some shots of two miniature Orchids that I treated myself to.
The third photo also shows “Depth” for this weeks WP Photo Challenge.

I wouldn’t change the tagline if it works for you and fits to your blog.

To be honest I come here to see your photos. If you want some sort of critique, your title and tag line tell me nothing apart from this is a personal blog and nothing more. I hope that may help why you are thinking about the tagline.

How do I make it more? I am thinking aout the title and tagline because it is an assignment for WP’s Blogging 101 course. So far most are suggesting that I change it since the word “Soul” repeats.

That is the question. The name or tag needs to reflect the blog from what I understand Reflections of my soul is great as we know what we will see is a representation of you and your ideas ect. I think the tag line needs to home in on what the subject matter in the blog is. A peek into my soul actually makes me think of a quite philosophical and opinion based blog. I did Blogging 101 last year and I remember these questions I had to ask myself.

Before this assignment everything was fine. I had the name previously so I just needed a tag. And this was the first thing that came to me. I am not commited to it like I am the name. So we shall see what I come up with.

Hi Robin: I really LIKE your Title and feel the Tag Line goes perfectly with it. What theme are you using? I like it. My first blog, Savvy Grams, is getting too many categories in it and I want to have a place to post each different topic to, a heading like you are using. I also have another Blog, “My Favorite Things” that is broad enough to post a variety of things in. Your posts and photos are great, really enjoyed looking through it!

I think your tagline is great. No need to change. But I do see the point in that “soul” is repeated in title as well as tagline.

Change can be good, especially if you’re reinventing yourself but that’s only if you see a certain need to change. If you did, I’m sure that you wouldn’t be asking for opinions. You’d just do it. So, it’s clear to me that, this time around, you don’t need to change anything.

Thank you. At first I knew that it was fine but after reading the different suggestions I looked at it from a different perspective and now I believe that I will change the tag/ The name will remain as it is part of me. I have been using Refections for my Soul before I started blogging.

Bravo. Keep the tagline.You could also vary it a little and call it “my ever changing (evolving) soul” which is true for everyone. Yesterday’s anima has certainly been affected and changed by the prior day’s events and experiences. Which ever avenue Y O U decide to follow do so because that is what Y O U really want to do. Good luck on your choice. 🙂

Thank you Gerry. Decisions decisions decisions. Since I keep going back and forth on my decision to change or not I will be leaving it the way it is for now and take a fresh look at it later. Who knows what the final out come will be.
