Fruits of My Labor
On Friday I was able to harvest (I like saying harvest) my first string beans. Yesterday I used them for dinner.
In a pan of butter, I sauteed some onions, garlic and beef bouillon cubes then added a touch of water and my fresh string beans. The rest of the meal consisted of shrimp with alfredo sauce over fettuccine.
Harvest is a joyful time of gathering the produce of the land.

That must have been enormously satisfying. I’d love a veggie patch.

I can’t wait to get a nice fresh tomato from the garden. My daughter wants the hot peppers

One warning about hot peppers… a friend planted them too close to another crop and the heat from her ghost peppers tainted it. Enjoy your tomatoes!

Thanks for the information. The peppers are planted next to some sweet potatoes so I hope they don’t taste like hot peppers.
