I found it!
I found the entry point of where the gopher/ groundhog has been entering my garden. For now I put some logs in the way and “hopefully” secured other weak spots in the fence until I can come up with a better way.
And yes….he ate more cabbage today. 🙄🤯
Thanks for visiting!

Our gophers tunnel up under our plants, and eat them. They also tunnel into the irrigation ditches and their holes act like siphons and flood areas I don’t want flooded. Gophers are pesky little critters.

They are definitely pesky critters. I also have moles that eat the roots of my flowers on one side of the house.
Besides killing the gophers what can be done to deter them?

I have no idea. I plug up their holes in the ditches and we just live with them.

Thanks. Hopefully I can come up with something. Maybe not for this year’s garden but definitely next year’s.

Critters like rabbits are fairly easy to keep out of gardens. Gophers just tunnel under fences, walls and other barriers, and squirrels climb over them. I just remembered, you can get ultrasonic sticks you put in the graound that supposedly repel gophers and moles. You might try the ultrasonic approach and see if it works.

I bought the ultrasonic thing and so far it seems to be working. Keeping fingers crossed

Great. I’ve never tried them.

Sounds like the gophers like fresh veggies too. Hope you can keep the little critter out of the rest of your garden.
