Security

Lately my grandson has been watching his shows on my iPad under the security of his blankets, covers or whatever he can find to be alone.

Down Memory Lane

Since I was about 14 years old I started saving all birthday cards, Christmas cards, postcard, poems and letters that I have received from family and friends.

Today I was going through one of the boxes and came across some postcards that my uncle sent to me back in 1981 when he was traveling the world with the US Air Force.

But the most heart warning thing I found were 2 cards that my kids gave me. One was for my birthday and the other one was just because.

This card was for my 34th birthday and it says that I am over the hill!  Since I am now 51 what does that make me? 😆😆

And this card was just because.

A Photographer in the Making

This little angel here had a bad day at school today.  He did not get his way so he made sure no one else did either.  After dealing with his mother and a few moments in time out.  He asked if he can take some pictures.  I started to say no because of the behavior today but decided to see what he can do.

The first image is one I took while showing him how to keep one eye open so he can look in the viewfinder.   The rest are all his.

Do we have a budding photographer here?

He gave me instructions on how to pose.  He told me to do some of the same things that I say to him.

Let Go My Lego!

Today I treated Arai to a set of Legos.  He has been having some rough days in daycare where he does not want to listen.  He prefers to do his own thing when he wants to do it regardless of what the teachers say.  So I tried to give him a little bribe so off to Walmart I went to find something special.  I know that he loves to build things so I got him a Legos a set.  This set has 583 pieces.

It kept him and Caila busy for 4 hours working to assemble the pieces.  I should have bought this a long time ago!  Another set is on his Christmas list.

Here are a few things that they built.

Arai with his castle that he designed all by himself! Such the proud young man.

This set included pieces to make these special projects.

Caila enjoyed herself as much as Arai did, she even said that she wanted a set for herself.

As always thanks for visiting!

Fair Play

On our last full day of vacation a surprise water fight was planned.  It was unfair to some as they had to find their hidden water balloons and water guns, while the instigators had theirs and were attacking at full force.

My niece Caila, who is so innocent looking, decided to get one of the instigators back in a really good way.  She was getting squirted with water in her face but that did not deter her from her mission…Get Rob!

The pictures did not come out great I hope you see the fun that they had.

Unfortunately Rob did not follow my suggestion and take his cell out of his pocket before the fight started so there were actually 2 casualties in the pool.

Rob started out being just another co-worker and then he became friends with my nephew Keith and now he is part of the family.  He has been going on vacation with us for the past 4 years.

Here is just a small fraction of my family.  There were 23 of us this year (one not pictured).

FAMILY

I now understand 12/30

Often I wondered why some adults fear or dislike or even hate clowns I no longer wonder.  While on the boardwalk in Wildwood NJ Sunday we came across this haunted cinema that had a creepy looking clown sitting in front of the building as it’s mascot.

I am one of the lucky millions that actually like clowns.  However, if my first meeting of a clown looked like this one I am sure that I would have a strong dislike or even fear of them.

How do you feel about clowns?

Contemplation

I decided to take the plunge!

I have been editing 99.9% of all my images on my phone or tablet using Snapseed, Pronto and recently Super Photo.  I have decided to stepped up my game and get Photoshop cc 2015 and Lightroom.  I don’t know why I did not do this sooner it is only $10 per month.

If any of you know of any YouTube videos that I should watch please let me know.

Here is my 1st completed image from PS – minor adjustments and selective color.

Pure Joy and Happiness

Arai’s mommy bought him his first pool. My little grandson had nothing but pure HAPPINESS and was so excited to jump in and get wet.

Make sure you checkout what others are saying about pure!

Strategy

“One man’s trash is another’s treasure.” This is such a true statement.  My daughter Essence, saw someone throwing away this bunching bag and thought that the kids would have a ball with it. So she asked if she could have it and of course they said yes.

This was a hit with the kids.  They were checking out the numbers and planning their strategy on how to knock it down.
