Duck Duck Goose!
Who remembers the childhood game Duck Duck Goose?
This was a fun game to play. Everyone sits in a circle while the lucky one got to tap on everyone’s head hollering “Duck Duck Goose”. They could call “Duck” as many times as they chose but who ever was “Goose” had to chase/race the first child back to the empty space first. The one left standing would get the chance to tag someone”Goose” and it would start all over.
I was thinking about those carefree times while taking pictures of this Goose Saturday.
I like how I was able to freeze the drop of water falling from his mouth. If i was trying to freeze the drop of water it would not happen.

A few outakes
While out yesterday taking pictures for this weeks Word Press Photo Challenge: Depth (of Field) I also took some pictures just because. Here are a couple of outtakes from the days shoot.
In the next set of photos I wanted the DOF effect on the swing to be more pronounced like the pictures posted yesterday. It does show slightly on the last couple of swings but not enough for what I envisioned.

WP Photo Challenge: Depth (of Field)
For this weeks WP Challenge Depth, I decided to do Depth of Field (DOF). Wikipedia has a lot of information on DOF (Wikipedia DOF).
How I understand DOF is when a particular part of the photo is in focus but the rested is out of focus or blurry.
Here are a few shots that I took today to show Depth of Field (DOF).

WP Photo Challenge: Cover Art (2) – Autumn Reflections
Today was a beautiful day here in South Jersey. The sun was shinning and the temperature was perfect for a late October day. I decided that it was a great day for a walk in the park to take a photos of all the fall colors.
Thanks for visiting and of course all comments are welcome.

ME FIRST!!!
The other day I wanted to take some pictures of the local ducks. So I take a ride to one of the ponds close to my house and add soon as I pull up to the pond the Ducks start to race for my car. They were looking for some free food.
I never went to this particular pond before so I did not realize that it was a requirement to bring food. Needless to say I was empty handed. Since there were so many ducks I decided that it would be best to pay for the pictures that I wanted to take.
I go to the local convenience store and buy some crackers.
When I returned the Ducks were still waiting for me. They must be used to this routine.
After I fed them some crackers they allowed me to take they’re pictures.
They even posed for me.
I think this duck, who I affectionately will call Marvin, was flirting with me so he could get more food thrown his way.
PS. I think these are actually Canadian Geese but not positive.
Photo Excursion
Our photo excursion to Cape May NJ.
My nieces, nephew and I took a long ride yesterday thru the country of South Jersey. We stopped by a lake that had a lot of ducks just resting on the water.
This is the first time that I let the little ones actually take pictures of what they saw (training future photographers). They are fascinated by the amount of ducks that were there.
After the lake we made our way to The Point at Cape May, NJ. For an October day it was rather warm. We felt a bit over dressed for the beach. We took tons of pictures. The kids decided to take a little stroll down the beach (they look so sweet together).
During this time of year the Monarch Butterflies make their annual migration to the south. Since we got there a little late in the day, we did not get to see butterflies but what we did see was beautiful.
My nephew Carlito was able to get one on a small flower that he held.
