My Other Hobby

Now that the gardening season is almost over I have started making candles in my basement kitchen again.

Candle making is not as easy as I initially thought when I started this about a year and a half ago.

There are so many factors involved like type of wax, fragrance brand, wick size, and various temperatures per different wax type, just to list a few things.

My goal is to make enough great scented candles to sell along with my luffa sponges and birdhouse gourds.

I have a few different scents created and now I am looking for testers so I can see how the scents work.

Thanks for visiting!

  2. Looks like fun. You might want to listen to “I’m Blue Da Ba De Da Ba Di” by Eiffel 65 while working on those candles.

  3. Brings back memories for me…my mom used to use molds to make candles. She did two odd ones i remember – ice cube candles and fantasy candles. She really liked to make them.
