Tightly Rolled

I cleaned out the weeds in the raised garden bed that was suppose to have cabbage in it but…. the worms, rodents or something ate them all down to the stem. So it became a great place for weeds to grow.

After I finished this particular area I find these two worms all nicely rolled up.

I have not been able to find out what types of caterpillars these are or what they will turn into… butterfly or moth. If you know please let me know.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. I believe the top worm is a called a ‘grub worm’. Not sure if the smaller one is but maybe a younger one? Anyway, they turn into Japanese Beetles, or sometimes called June Beetles, and yes they eat crops & vegetation.
I used to catch these worms when I was a kid,..until one bit me! 🙂
