Most people, myself included, consider Dandelions weeds because they are very invasive and take away from our beautiful green lawns. Dandelions are the flower with many health uses according to Organic Facts. According to Organic Facts here are some of the things that they are good for, bone health, liver disorders, acne and skin care and many more uses.
Do you consider it a weed or flower?

Lol after seeing all the benefits I will try to see it as a flower instead of a weed.

They are weeds in our garden – beautiful everywhere else!

That works for me. Weeds in my yard/garden but flowers everywhere else!

I’ve not eaten them, but I know you’re supposed to get them very early so that the leaves are tender. I’d be concerned anywhere that people spray, because spray doesn’t just stay on their dandelions. At the tea shop where we worked, we sold dandelion root for its healthful properties (http://www.sereneteaz.com/dandelion-root/). In our yard, they look like weeds. In the wild, they’re yellow flowers. 🙂

Nice post! I keep playing with them and enjoy them flying when I blow air!

Thank you! We love to blow them too (and of course that makes even more).

I love dandelions! They are so sunny and happy looking. I have just started a poetry blog here on WordPress in case you have time to look? Today’s post is about being in the moment and features a pic of me lying in a dandelion meadow! Happy Monday, Sam 🙂

I liked Dandelions a lot when I was little in our Normandy house. So nice to blow on. Weed or flower? Just mowed them with the grass…
I tried to make a dent-de-lion (Lion’s tooth) salad once, on a week-end. Not very good. A tad bitter. I think you need to select the younger leaves…

As kids we would put them under our chin to see if it reflected yellow on our skin. If it did then that meant you liked butter…lol Needless to say it always reflected yellow since it was a sunny day. But we did not figure this out till we were older.
From what I read you are supposed to eat the young to avoid the toughness.

I do not think that I will knowingly eat one either.
