This is the only lock that was on the overpass when I visited last weekend.

Framed 2

This past weekend I stopped off at the 295 Scenic Overlook off in Bordentown, New Jersey.  I passed this location man times and said that I need to stop to see the views.

I thought that it would be more to it but it was OK.  he trees that you see to the left in the first picture is Pennsylvania.  In the second photo Pennsylvania is on the other side of the Delaware River.

These are my choices for this weeks Daily Post Challenge: Framed.

Fair Play

On our last full day of vacation a surprise water fight was planned.  It was unfair to some as they had to find their hidden water balloons and water guns, while the instigators had theirs and were attacking at full force.

My niece Caila, who is so innocent looking, decided to get one of the instigators back in a really good way.  She was getting squirted with water in her face but that did not deter her from her mission…Get Rob!

The pictures did not come out great I hope you see the fun that they had.

Unfortunately Rob did not follow my suggestion and take his cell out of his pocket before the fight started so there were actually 2 casualties in the pool.

Rob started out being just another co-worker and then he became friends with my nephew Keith and now he is part of the family.  He has been going on vacation with us for the past 4 years.

Here is just a small fraction of my family.  There were 23 of us this year (one not pictured).

Not only the young

With the invention of the internet and mobile phones that are like mini computers most of our you spend their free time with their heads down looking at their particular device (myself included).  Well this is not just for the young or young at heart.

My father who will be 75 in about 10 days is beginning to be like that as well.  He is learning Facebook and has mastered texting.

While sitting on the beach watching the sunrise I was able to sneak this picture.

Thru the grass…again

My niece, nephew and I ventured off to a little side road and came across this beach that was deserted.

I appears to be a place that only the locals go to when they want to be away from the vacation crowds.

Bear Crossing 2

Last year I was told about the wild bears that are about an 45 minutes from where we are staying. When I took the pictures all looked great on my camera however, when I went to upload them I lost 90% of the pictures.

So I had to go back again this year to see if we can get lucky again.  Luck was on our side, we saw 3 bears, a cub and 2 adult bears.

Unfortunately 1 of the adult bears was dead. It appeared to have been shot. If you look closely at the adult bear you will see that it appears have been shot.  I notified the Animal Refuge agency the next day.

In the palm of her hands

Well the vacation is over so it is now time to share some vacation pictures.

Caila and I went to Bodie Lighthouse with the intent of climbing to the top.  We were not able to climb to the top (thank god!) since the tickets were sold out.

But she was able to lift it with her bare hands which is indeed a rare feat.

Just a tad bit heavy
