Something Old
On my way home from work today I pass drive past this old car and had to make a u-turn and snap a picture. This is for Throwback Thursday.
I found out about this new app called Super Photo by Lumix1216 (click his name and check out his IG account) and gave it a try. This can take pictures to another level if you are not that savvy in Photoshop.
What do you think? Do you like the first image or the second?

A Sign of Nobility
Last night I was chatting with Jason C. aka Opinionated Man from Harsh Realty (if you don’t know Jason go check him out) about the my post Yes the Kitchen Door and he informed me that a red door is a symbol of nobility to some Chinese.
Of course I loved the ideal of nobility and took it one step further and made it royalty. So I said that my place is Robin’s Kingdom but thought it needs a better name.
Here are some of my choices: Robin’s Kingdom, Robin’s Oasis, Forchion Estate (pronounced fortune), but they just don’t have any pizzazz.

The yellow is covered and the door is now all red. I am still debating on this shade of red. It may get changed to a completely different color. We shall see.
I know it does not look like much now but in the future it will be gorgeous! I have plans on putting shutters on the windows, larger plants in the flower beds, changing the walkways so that they all match, having a great lawn, one that you could just lay on it (might be pushing it a bit). I have huge dreams for my house and I want the name to match my dreams.
I am thinking of having a contest to name my Kingdom. Not sure of the particulars yet but if/when I come up with something you will be the first to know.
Suggestion box is now open!!

Fireworks
Yesterday I went to the Lawnside NJ fireworks display. They were celebrating Heritage Day (this is an old link but gives great information). We did not attend the entire event, just the fireworks.
Here are a few examples of my attempts at capturing the burst of light in the sky. I could not get the settings just right but I consider this a practice run since 4th of July is next weekend.

A Bug Magnetic?
I am not sure what is going but for some reason I am attracting all sorts of bugs.
Last night while sitting in my computer room all of a sudden there is this flying thing fluttering on my wall. I snapped a few pictures (yes the camera is always ready) before I trapped it and attempted to set it free outside.
When I tossed it outside it looked like it came back in and landed on my pants. But I did not see anything so I thought nothing of it.
After about 10 minutes I feel a tickle on my arm so I rub my arm and it is the flying bug!
Needless to say I let out a little scream.
I managed to catch it again and this time I made sure it was outside.
Does anyone know what this is?
Entered into this week’s WP Challenge Curve for the wings and body.

A Stolen Moment
Sitting a my little oasis at work I see another who appears to be really deep in thought.
I had to capture it. It did feel like I was intruding on his space.
So I showed him the edited picture, he liked it, and ok’d me to post it. He admits that he was doing some major thinking.

My neighbor is a Turkey?
Since I moved into my home the house next door has been vacant. Periodically someone would come around and cut the grass but I have yet to meet them.
While washing dishes tonight I noticed some movement on the side and back of the house. Of course I had to inspect and see what is going on.
As I step outside with camera in hand I see them just tasting the grass and check out the house. It looks like they were debating on whether it would be a good fit for their family.
Time will tell if they decide o take over the house.
