This is my now!
While going through cancer treatments and dealing with all the mental anguish that comes with such an illness I was only focusing on the darkness and never saw the light.
After some time I forced myself to see the positive (light) that was also there. This was and still is a process that I am working to achieve.
In this photograph can either focus on the dark side or the light. I choose the light.
This song, This is My Now, was my anthem for a long time. It was the winning song performed on America Idol.
There was a time I packed my dreams away.
Living in a shell, hiding from myself.
There was a time when I was so afraid.
I thought I’d reached the end,
But baby that was then
I am made of more than my yesterdays.
This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
As I look around
I can’t believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubt
That was then, this is my now.
I have to decide,
Was I gonna to play it safe.
Or look somewhere deep in side,
Try to turn the tide,
And find the strength to take that step of faith.
This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
As I look around
I can’t believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubt
That was then, this is my now.
And I have the courage like never before, yeah.
I’ve settled for less now I’m ready for more,
Ready for more.
This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment.
As I look around I can’t believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubt
That was then, this is my now.
I’m living in the moment
I look around I can’t believe the love I see.
My fears behind me, gone are the shadows and doubt
That was then, this is my now.
This is my now.

Life in a Jar
My grandson and I went for another walk in the woods on Sunday. We had a great time exploring. I came across these to jars that had moss growing in them.
It is amazing how nature finds a way to over come obstacles that are in their way.
If it were only this easy for us.
As always thank you for visiting!
Sally Starr
After Going through the photos from the other night, I realized that some of the other pictures were of a partial view of the farm that belonged to local legend Sally Starr.
Sally Starr was a famous TV personality back in the 60’s and 70’s. I remember watching Sally Starr and Chief Halftown. My grandmother would take us every Christmas to her companies children’s christmas party in Philadelphia that was hosted by Chief Halftown.
Seeing these pictures brought back some good childhood memories.

Behind the Veil
For my final sunset post I present to you Behind the Veil. I drove about 1 mile from the first set of sunset photos to a lake to hopefully get another great shot.
The color started to change as the sun dropped even more. Now I am able to see a bit of purple and pink in the clouds. Although the color is not as dramatic as the fiery orange from the earlier pictures, I still like how it came out.

A Blazing Sunset
Tonight’s sunset was beautiful.
The camera did not do it justice.
I like how the clouds look like smoke billowing around the sky.
Minor edits to the top photo and I added a drama effect to the below image.
Which do you prefer? I can’t decide they are the same yet very different.
