When the Dam Breaks
After the dam breaks and a community argues this is what remains.
Collins Lake in Atlantic County, New Jersey is almost gone. Back in 2011 a major rain storm and hurricane Irene caused major damage to the already damaged dams and one eventually broke. There are 4 dams in total and the remaining ones are in need of repair as well.
One side of the lake is still full of water, but it has receded and the other is barren with a minor stream running through it.

A shame about the lakes. One wonders why public money is not poured into rehabilitating the dams. But I’m sure Jersey politicians (as elsewhere) still ride in fancy cars… 😦

Yes. I know. As I compare various sides of the planet, e.g., the US, France, Mexico, the only thing one can hope is to control their… lust for money and power. More or less done in the first two, totally out of control here. Here, everybody steals. 😦
