WP Photo Challenge: Transition (2)
Back in March Gale from Living Day by Day did a post on Snail Mail. Gale invited others to join and she would send a postcard every so offer and ony asked to receive one in return.
To date I have received 8 postcards from Gale. They always came just when I needed that welcomed surprise.
These postcards helped us transition from fellow bloggers to pen pals. Who knows we may at some point transition to actual friends that visit each other from time to time.
Here are pictures of the post cards received.
Thanks for visiting!
Check out the other interpretations of Transition.

And I thought postcards were a thing from the past. 🙂

We are trying to revive them. Would you like to participate in a postcard exchange with me?

Yeah. Sure. On-line or off-line?

Mexico? Thought you were there for a vacation. Have you relocated or are you what we call a snow bird?
But post cards or short note by the good old trusty postal service. I will send you my address via email.

Not a snow bird though my beard and (remaining) hair are practically white. We moved to Mexico 25 years ago. I set up a company here. Sold my shares a few years ago. Still do a bit of consulting. Not much really. I guess you could say semi-retired. 🙂

Base on some of our past conversations I thought you wear across the ocean.

I cannot wait to retire and do somethings I have put off. I have 17 more years before I get retire. I probably will still have to work part time as our social security is not too much and being a hard-headed person (only sometimes) I did not start my 401K plan till late so that won’t be much either.

I wish. But no, we’re up in the mountains.

Must be beautiful.

Not really. 20 million people in Mexico city? A huge chaos. Streets are full of pot-holes, crime is rampant… There are some nice spots but overall this city is too much. 😦

It is always different living and visiting someplace. Come on up to Jersey.

Thank you. I have been to Mexico twice, Playa del Carmen and Rivera Maya. They were great trips.

Those are nice spots. Very nice. Combination culture and beach, if you like to combine.

Robin, looking back over a few of your posts and came across this one. I didn’t even realise it had been that many cards! But it was indeed a pleasure to be a Blogger With Benefits … I feel a new post coming on! 🙂

It has been great getting the postcards. Always a welcomed surprise. I even asked another blogger to start with me so we shall see how it goes. What will the new post be…I will be watching.
