Love the perspective. though I would probably cozily fall asleep and get back late to work.

Thank you. It is a daily struggle each day to go back in the office. I am late most days.

Hey, depends how late. A few minutes? Who cares. Besides, with the kind of work you do at “Homeland”, listening to people’s sad stories everyday… Must take its toll.

Yes 5 to 10 minutes each day. Mind you I also come to work 5 to 10 minutes late every day as well. It is tough here at Homeland. 11/18 made 5 years doing what I do. A change is long over due.

5 years and itching? Interesting. What would you like to do instead?

If money was not an issue I would love to have a job photographing people from around the world who have found their inner strength after dealing with a life threatening illness/injury. And put it in a book.
I would like to work with people but to actually be on their side trying to help them. Not exactually sure that type of job this would be.

Getting bread on the table is always an issue. Now… you have a great concept: Get people/survivors to send you their photos and a short bio. A few lines, and you post them. (Maybe another blog) Do an on-line book. Where people share their experiences. You might actually do some counseling on-line… Or by the sharing and comments, the counseling does itself…
(I like that)
And you can combine the two ideas…

That has been my desire for a few years now. To write my story and have others tell their story as well. Hopefully to inspire someone to keep moving.
The hardest part is doing my story first. Which I have done but it sounds sad and that is not what I want. I need a writer to question me to pull out things that I have not thought about or considered.

You probably need an editor. But that costs money… 😦

I will defiantly need an editor. I will find a way to pay for the editor. Maybe have a bake sale or two….lol
