These roses have been around for a while, long after the beauty has lasted.
It is now time for them to go in the trash. This is one reason I prefer plants to cut flowers. I hate throwing them away.
Thanks for visiting!

Thank you so much Steven!!!
My pleasure. It’s a wonderful capture.
Have you dried this one? I do it all the time:). Very pretty.
It did dry out but not intentional. I just procrastinated and did not throw it out when I should.
Indeed plants are better. An orchid our daughter had left us for caretaking while she was away, lost its flowers. We put it in the garden in a “wall” of plants we have. And oh surprise, after a year it’s sprouting half dozen flowers. nature is better left unattended.
I usually get lily’s for mother’s day and each year I plant them at my mother’s house. It is always nice to see the come back.
Can you believe I had to look it up. Fleur de lys. Yes, they are quite resilient. I still have a few survivors from a past office I had. Very nice flowers. (And a symbol of the French monarchy)
Lily’s are my favorite flower. Not much attention need
Thank you Frances!
