Cattails
Lunch time view on two different occasions. The first image was taken the on the 5th of June and the other two images were taken on the 2nd of July.
I remember as a child my mother would go down to the local lake and cut these to have in the house. They would last forever.
Typha /ˈtaɪfə/ is a genus of about 30 species of monocotyledonous flowering plants in the family Typhaceae. The genus has a largely Northern Hemisphere distribution, but is essentially cosmopolitan, being found in a variety of wetland habitats. Wikipedia.

Amen, those who want to look can find beauty everywhere. We should all spend a little time every day looking at Nature and wonder in her splendour. Everyone of us is capable of more than we know.
