My First Bud

My first miniature rose bud in my Balcony Oasis.  I am so HAPPY to see that it truly survived.  This miniature rose was purchased at the beginning of spring and it was in the house.  It started to die and I thought it was a goner.  When the weather finally broke I put it outside and hoped that it would come back and it did!

I believe all of these were taken with the extension tube on.

Thanks for visiting!

Comment welcome.

(PS is anyone else have problems creating a gallery?  When I select tiled mosaic it comes up squared tiles in the preview and vice versa.)

  2. Beautiful! I have a red Knockout Rose bush that I’ve enjoyed for about four or five years. This past winter, it was buried under snow and heavy logs that were part of a tree take down that wasn’t completed by the company until spring. When I finally unearthed it, there was nothing except one single leaf at the ground level. I trimmed it all the way back with the one leaf sticking out. I noticed yesterday it has sprouted new branches and is going to make it. Yeah for roses in the ground and on the balcony. 🙂

    • Thank you Judy. Nature has a way of surviving in conditions that we just don’t understand. Being buried under feet of snow and logs you would think that was the end of it.
