WP Photo Challenge: On the Way
What I see on the way to Woodstown NJ
At this garden and farm supply company they have a colorful way to attract customers. As you see there is blue tractor on top of a waterfall that has matching water flowing down the rocks. At times when there is a green tractor there the water is also green. Not just green but fluorescent green. It looks like it would glow in the dark.
I believe this next picture is to represent that they have so much mulch that it is overflowing fromtheir trucks.
Make sure you check out what others see on the way!

When will they come?
I purchased a Dianthus plant and it has just bloomed like my miniature rose. This plant is supposed to attract butterflies.
I am patiently awaiting some butterflies to appear in my Balcony Oasis.

My First Bud
My first miniature rose bud in my Balcony Oasis. I am so HAPPY to see that it truly survived. This miniature rose was purchased at the beginning of spring and it was in the house. It started to die and I thought it was a goner. When the weather finally broke I put it outside and hoped that it would come back and it did!
I believe all of these were taken with the extension tube on.

(PS is anyone else have problems creating a gallery? When I select tiled mosaic it comes up squared tiles in the preview and vice versa.)
Extension Tubes or filters?
I just purchased a set of extension tubes and macro filters so that I could get better macro shots. The extension tubes ran about $70 and the set of filters (7) was about $25. Cost wise, as most of you know, it is better than getting a true macro lens (for now anyway).
The extension tubes are a bit tricky to use. I did not do enough research prior to purchase to know that there was a difference in the types of tubes that you can get. You have manual and autofocus luckily I go the set that can do autofocus.
It has only been a few hours of playing and so far I am happy with them. It will take me a minute to figure out the right combination to get the image that I am looking for.
What are your thoughts on using filters or extension tubes?
Here are a few examples SOOC (straight out of camera).

Balcony Oasis – Part 3
I have been working on my Balcony Oasis over the last 2 weekends. As you see there is not much space but I plan on getting as much on the balcony as I can.
I still need to do a few things before I can call it is finished.
The table and chairs need to be painted. I am not sure if I want to leave them white or paint it red (I am leaning towards red). I also need something to create different heights that will not take up much room. Any suggestions?
I guess some of you may wonder why the styrofoam cup is in the picture; well it is because my grandson wanted it there since it is a plant that he grew in daycare. He told me that he wanted it on the balcony with the other flowers. How could I refuse? I will have to get a proper container for his plant.
In Balcony Oasis 2, I mentioned that I wanted a plant that attracts butterflies. I did purchase a plant called Dianthus which is supposed to bring the butterflies. We shall see.

WP Photo Challenge: Broken
That Little Red Truck 2
This past January I took some pictures of this Little Red Truck that sits on the side of the road. I believe it is a good example of “Broken” for this weeks challenge.
Make sure you check out the Little Red Truck from January!
