It looks like a cross between a leaf footed bug and a stinkbug (although stinkbugs here are brown and not red).

I was thinking it was a stink bug to but thought the body shape was a little off.
I never heard of a “Leaf Footed” bug before. Gonna have to look that one up.

Also try a western conifer bug. It looks close to this and the leaf footed bug, but not exactly. Of course, that doesn’t take regional variations into account. It’s likely one of the Arizona Universities has an on-line bug identification.

Actually, I googled on looks like a red stink bug. I learned how to do that when I was identifying this wheel bug, which I’d never ever seen before.

That wheel bug looks neat. With its boney looking head/body.

It was really incredible. I’d never seen anything like it before either and it was just walking around the deck. I’m sure we’ve had them the whole time we lived here, but I’d not seen it.

Ok then. Then I’ll let him be.

There’s no such thing as a “yuck”. These are beautiful creatures, worthy of companionship.

In UK it might be a shield bug, don’t know about in your neck of the woods.

We think it is an adult leaf footed bug.
