WP Photo Challenge: Gone but not forgotten

This weeks WP Photo Challenge was a bit difficult.  I did not want to do what initially came to mind, which was to post about someone or something that I lost.  It has taken me a couple of days to find a few things to post on this weeks topic.

These photographs were originally going to be for my Side Street Sunday post but I thought it would fit better under the WP Challenge: Gone but not forgotten.

I went to the Historic Mansion of Smithville, New Jersey (it is actually located in Eastampton township) today to explore and see how the wealthy lived way back when.  The home was impressive and the stories that the tour guides told wer very informative on how others lived over a hundred years ago.

Here are just a few pictures that show “gone but not forgotten”.

The first and last time that I went caroling was when I was a girl scout back in the 1970’s.  This is when I truly knew that I hated the winter.  How is it fun to sing in the freezing cold?!?!

Looking at the phonograph made me wonder if kids today would know what 45’s, 33’s, and 78’s were.  I am sure they would not and most probably have not even seen a record.

At times I do miss wearing the nice lingerie but now my focus is on comfort and warmth in my sleepwear.

I remember making book angels is elementary school.  I have not thought about that in almost 40 years.

As always thanks for visiting and comments are welcome.
