Frank Rizzo
Frank Rizzo was the a mayor of Philadelphia from 1972 – 1980. From what I remember you either loved him or hated him and this was divided mainly on race lines. Click here for an article in the NY Times or his Facebook page that is providing some history or this larger than life man.
While at a stop sign I saw this man sizing up Mr. Rizzo.

Angles and Lines
The more I get into photography the more I notice things around me.
At first glance the first picture is just a simple alleyway with some guard poles. When I think about it for a photo I began to see the lines and the contradiction between the lines and the circular columns. I begin to imagine different ways to take the shot.
The second photo is an old brick building but I did not want to take it straight on I wanted to see it from a different point of view.
Finally I like the contradiction between the 2 buildings besides old and new. The tall building the lines are well-defined bu the second on has more curves. To me they are opposites.
I welcome your thoughts and opinions on how you shoot or determine what you will shoot.

Mr. Townsend the Violinist
Meet Mr. Charles Townsend, Violinist – Fiddler. He was playing Christmas tunes in the Love Park yesterday. I wish I would have thought to get a video of him playing. His music was GREAT!

Side Street Sunday
My visit to Love Park and City Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Click on the links to learn about the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.
One little know fact about the Love Park statue is that actor Kevin Bacon’s father was involved in its creation/planning.

WP Photo Challenge: Warmth
Today my cousin Michael and I went to Philadelphia, PA to take some pictures for my “Side Street Sunday” post. On our way to Love park we stopped on a random street to take some shots and this young lady started smiling for my cousins camera or maybe just for Michael.
She totally fits this weeks WP Photo Challenge – Warmth. Here in NJ/PA the weather was in the low 50’s. Was it a nice day? Yes it was a beautiful day here, but definitely not warm enough for shorts and flip-flops.
