Thru the Berries
Taking pictures has opened my eyes to a lot of things. One thing in particular is trying to see more than what is in front of my face. I began composing pictures in my head. Thinking of how I could photograph a subject or looking for more than the obvious view.
This picture is an example of my process. While sitting in my car I notice this tree with berries on it and I began to think of how I can see more than just berries on a tree.
So I when I looked at this tree a little closer I noticed a bug. Not wanting to get too close and spook the bug by having it land on me because that would not be a great shot from any perspective.
The softness of the blue sky and cotton looking clouds peaking thru the branches made a great contrast from of the harshness of the red berries.
This was taken on my cell phone, Samsung Note III.

WP Photo Challenge: Nighttime (2)
Although it is not quite “nighttime” yet I thought the colors in the sky were a perfect entrance for the approaching night.
My cellphone did not do the sky the justice that it deserved as I attempted to get the images.
I hope that you can envision what I had the pleasure of viewing.
Check out all the other entries for this weeks challenge.
Thanks for visiting and as always your comments are welcomed.
The Burning Bush
This bush is green 90% of its life during a season. When fall arrives its leaves turn red, hence the name Burning Bush.

WP Photo Challenge: Nighttime
My entry into this week’s Photo Challenge.
When I was taking an intro photography class I learned a bit about shutter speeds and this was one of the assignments.
My first good moon capture.
I still need some practice as I have not attempted it again since this assignment.
This WP Challenge will get me out there this weekend getting some updated night shots.
Thank you for visiting and all comments are welcomed.
Emerging Colors
Fall is not my favorite time of year however I do love the changing colors of the leaves. You get to see different shades of orange, red, and yellow it is beautiful!
It amazes me how they know it is time to sleep for a few months even when the weather is still nice out (not so nice today).
I would love to take a trip up to Vermont to photograph all the beautiful colors.
Thank you for visiting.
As always all comments are welcome.
WP Photo Challenge: Endurance
Here is my entry for this weeks Photo Challenge.
I was taking pictures for my nephews wedding and of course it was running late. I noticed this little butterfly fluttering around and started taking his pictures. As I processed the images I noticed that his wings are not perfect and thought that it would make a perfect entry for the Endurance Challenge.
Both of his wings are tattered. What has he endured? Where has he been?
Thanks for the visit and comments are welcome!

This is another view of the lake just outside of my work. I sometimes sit in my car and reflect on the recent events in my life. It offers a moment of peace in a hectic day.
